Welcome to Change Your Story, based at Chesterton working mens club in the heart of Cambridge. As the founder of Addicted to Football, I have dedicated my life to supporting individuals struggling with mental health challenges and addiction. I understand the vital role that the community plays in recovery and well-being, which is why I established this support group. Our aim is to create a safe and welcoming environment where everyone can feel themselves and not be judged.Be inspired to embrace your potential and connect with others who maybe struggling in the same situation as yourself, Whether it’s accessing courses to help you get future employment or simply just relaxing, chatting over a game of pool, darts or table football, either way there will be something here for everyone.

At the changing room, we believe in making new connections and facilitating social interactions. Our dedicated changing room is designed for those who may struggle with engaging in physical activities due to mental health struggles. Here, people can enjoy various social activities, meet new friends, and participate in group outings, all while having the support they need. We’re committed to helping you navigate your journey, equipping you with resources, and introducing you to local organisations that can offer further assistance. Let’s embark on this journey to change your story together.

Testimonials

Proudly Rated 5 Stars

After attending the last changing rooms, I cannot wait till this starts again in the new year, Charlie has done amazing things and I support him and believe in the great work he does for the community.

My name is Darren, and I wanted to personally express how much I enjoyed and benefited from the initiative. The program provided a fantastic, supportive, and engaging environment that went far beyond just being about football.

More importantly, it had a genuinely positive impact on my health and wellbeing. The weekly sessions encouraged me to be active, which helped me improve my physical fitness. Beyond the exercise, the sense of community and camaraderie with the other participants and coaches was invaluable. It significantly boosted my mental health, providing a routine, a positive social outlet, and a great way to relieve stress.

I am very grateful for the time and effort your team put into creating and running Addicted to Football. It was a brilliant project, and the benefits I gained have lasted long after it concluded.

Thank you once again for everything.

Sincerely,

Charlie set up addicted to football, he became a coach and a mentor to us all I think, I am sad the football is finished, but i am so glad and looking forward to this new venture
